Skye Blue

About Us

We are proud to be a Portland based, woman owned, green business!

We are committed to being an environmentally sustainable business.

By repairing and recreating clothing we diminish our reliance on the consumption of foreign made clothes and take a step toward conservation and conscious living.

All paper used in the office is recycled and printed on both sides. Only environmentally friendly cleaners are used. Most importantly, replacement parts for repairs, such as zippers, are bought through SCRAP

About the Owner:

Skye Blue learned to sew from her grandmother at an early age. She later continued her education by receiving a Bachelors of Fine Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2003 with her focus on textile creation. She spent the next few years assisting fashion designers, screen printing and teaching art classes. In 2007, she founded Skye Blue Can Sew.

Skye Blue is a full time bicycle commuter, and an avid urban farmer. She also hosts Food Not Bombs on her front porch weekly.
